IP Seaway

Emperion IP Seaway is Emperion’s maritime satellite communications solution designed for ships and maritime installations of the oil and gas industry. It supports all IP-based applications including Internet access, e-mail, VoIP and video/audio etc. and installs with ease.

With IP Seaway, a vessel can be seamlessly integrated with land based WAN/LAN infrastructure and the high costs of using traditional maritime satellite terminals for voice and data will be a thing of the past. With a VoIP enabled IP Seaway service, call charges to land based fixed and mobile phones are available at a fraction of the costs applicable when using e.g. Inmarsat terminals.

The IP Seaway solution is a communications system which you can rely even in severe weather and sea conditions. Its unique stabilized antenna platform has proven to be rugged, reliable and very accurate, and with its advanced built-in technology it is able to stabilize whatever the ship’s motion and turning.

The design is flexible and offers a variety of services such as crew welfare (allowing each member on the vessel/oil rig to access the Internet and make calls at low rates) a long with reliable and secure connectivity.
